Presentation
Iconic Houses of Catalonia is a platform launched by various cultural institutions focused on Catalonia’s creative, artistic and cultural genius, with the aim of joining forces in order to position our heritage and provide it with maximum visibility.
To that end, on 2017 Iconic Houses of Catalonia was founded, a private non-profit organization dedicated to creating dialogue and cooperation among the different institutions and heritage sites, for the purpose of improving their management and increasing their standing and their touristic and cultural visibility.
Goals
- To create a space for collaboration, dialogue and cooperation for the purpose of joining forces on projects that are of common interest to the association’s members.
- To develop innovation strategies with regard to the cultural management of those projects and their dimension as fundamental assets within the Catalan territory for the promotion of cultural tourism and the creative economy.
- To join forces in building cooperation and financing strategies and to put together mechanisms and alliances with other operators.
- To establish mechanisms for dialogue and participation with the public authorities, private companies and international organizations.
- To set up a forum for dialogue and cooperation with other institutions that manage similar heritage sites, including, where applicable, the sphere of collaboration.
